One of the failures of higher education and the corporate world occurs when people are promoted from within based on their body of non-leadership work. For example, perhaps the individual is raised up to lead a team based on their ability to organize information, knowledge of spreadsheets, or speediness of getting things done correctly. The good news is that building a leadership development program can be an exciting collaborative project with an impressive return on investment! Taking the time and effort to properly grow new leaders provides a boost in culture that includes trust, psychological safety, efficient communication styles, and high levels of self-awareness, all connecting the dots to higher employee retention.

Today's generation of team members prioritize purpose and value in the workplace. Leading with EQ is wonderful for departments who are keen on identifying tools and practices to gain self-awareness. Purpose and value become more evident through the experience of reflecting on the impact of triggers with the overall goal to increase EQ competency and enhance work/team dynamics.
Frequently, conflicts arise, placing a strain on dialogue. Individuals, seeking growth, strive to continually improve their communication skills, bringing high level of awareness to their intentions, and not getting bogged down when conflict enters the room. This strength in knowing oneself allows teams to powerfully connect. It is required to take the Intercultural Conflict Style (ICS) assessment which involves a nominal purchase cost and takes about 15 minutes finish.
